Ms. Esther Rose Toliver

Esther Rose Toliver was born on November 27,1951 in Crockett, Texas to the late Napoleon (Sr.) and Esther Mae Toliver. Esther attended high school and college in Houston, TX. She was employed at Memorial Hermann (Medical Center) for over twenty-five years I and retired in December 2016. She was greatly loved and respected by numerous colleagues and friends. With the blessing of being raised in a loving Christian home, Esther accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. Her faith was grounded at New Commandment Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend David Foster. She later united her with Faith Tabernacle Christian Center in January 2000 under the leadership of Bishop Curtis Demerson Sr. Her long-standing service as President of the Hospitality Committee, Chairperson of Pastor Aid and Licensed and Ordained into ministry of Jesus Christ. She was known for her missionary work at local nursing facilities until she transitioned into her heavenly home. "Esther" was affectionately known as “Lil mama” and for her “peach cobbler”. Her beautiful spirit was felt with just one encounter. Esther was affectionately also known as one of the for her “peach cobbler”. Sister Mary Hall, Mother Mary Brooks and Esther were the Golden Girls of Faith Tabernacle Center. Her beloved friends Diane and Ada will miss her dearly. On Sunday, July 29, 2018, God requested the presence of Esther Rose into her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters (Mary and Carolyn Toliver- Carter), and brother Napoleon Jr. her uncles and aunts LJ Warfield, Lawyer Johnson, Authur Sr., Lewis, Frankie Sr. Rosemary Matlock, Bernice Lockhart as well as two nieces (Natoshia Johnson and Monique Toliver) and god-daughter Nashealah Hodges Left to cherish her memories are her children Michael, Barry, Earl, Theressa (Joseph), Autria; god-sons Raynard Davis Sr and Sean Jackson; god-daughters Yoshi Green, Felicia Harrison; sisters Brendia, Ethel Sam (Bernard), Kenneth Toliver, Cheryl Toliver; god-sister Connie Williams; brother-in-law Ricky Carter; sisters-in-law Rose Johnson and Burlean Toliver; grandchildren Destiny, Desmond, Demond, Donovan, Lyric, Dyani, De’Asijah, Dontae, Keona, Diamond, Tamara, DeAndre, Ericka, Jasmine, Zy’Air, Javion; five great-grandchildren Madyson, Journei, Ariah, Ian, D’Angelo and host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
