Mother Fannie Mae Stubblefield

On November 28, 1921, in Houston, Texas a baby girl was born to Henry and Celestine Creale. She attended grade school and completed high school in Houston, Texas. She was saved and baptized with the Holy Ghost at a early age. On September 10, 1941 she was united in Holy matrimony to Andrew L. Stubblefield Sr. to this union seven children was born. Mother Stubblefield served for a number of years under the leadership of the late Elder Charlie Thomas in Houston, Texas and her children was brought up in this church. After the death of Elder Thomas, Mother Stubblefield served under the leadership of Eder W. N. Godfrey at North Main Church of God in Christ. In 1971 she moved to Los Angeles, California and became a member of Bright Star Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Elder Wesley Dickson, in 1972. She served faithfully, working in the Sunday School department, served as secretary of the Missionary Board and secretary of the Mother’s Board. She accepted her calling and went to work in God’s vineyard beginning her convalescing ministry under the leadership of Mother Johnnie M. Baker in 1972. She worked in mission along with Missionary Zella Goosby, Pearl Adams and Missionary Winefred Woods. They went into private homes, hospitals, prisons, and ministered to the sick and shut-in, doing whatever their hands found to do. Mother Stubblefied has been in the rest home ministry for over 24 years. Above all she was able to win souls for Christ. She served as President of the Y.W.C.C. for over 10 years and also served as president of the Stat Bereavement Committee. She served as one of the devotional leaders in the State Women department and also as her local church bible band president for many years. Mother Stubblefield pass away on March 15, 2019. Preceding her in death are daughters Janette Stubblefield, Patricia Ann Stubblefield Martin and son George Stubblefield. She leaves to cherish her sons Andrew Jr. (Richmond, TX), David (Houston, TX), Timothy (Mary) (Atlanta, GA), Anthony (Sacramento, CA) and daughters-in-law Laura, Linda and Sharon; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, spiritual children in the Lord, including all the Bright Star Church family.
