Mr. Jason L Bradley

Jason Leelridge Bradley, (affectionately known by his friends as JB), passed away suddenly on April 1, 2018 at the age of 44 in Houston, TX. Jason was born to Jeanette Deloris Anderson and Leslie Elbert Johnson on March 4, 1974 in Houston, TX. As the first-born child to his parents, first grandchild and the first nephew to his aunts and uncles, Jason was born into a shower of love; and it’s that love that produced the kind-hearted person everyone knew him to be. Jason graduated as a proud Lobo from Langham Creek High School in 1992. He was a gifted poet and writer. He used his talent to write music. While in high school he and, one of his lifelong best friends, Michael Johnson, started the group Legacy. Jason always believed in himself and his talent until the end. He had hopes in being a rich and famous producer and artist. He would always talk about his “celebrity connections” and how he was just one step closer to his big payday. He would tell those close to him that when He blew up, WE would blow up – that’s just the kind of heart he had. After high school, He went on to study music production at Prairie View A&M. Jason was also the neighborhood barber. Starting in high school, with just a folding chair, he would transform the garage into his personal barbershop. He continued cutting hair until his last day when he cut his cousin Dale’s hair. His most recent career was in the Environmental Hazmat field. Born and raised in church, Jason gave his life to God at an early age. His mother believed in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it”. Jason’s life is testimony that this scripture holds true. No matter where life took him, he ALWAYS put his faith and trust in God and believed in God’s Word. Jason truly appreciated the simple things in life; he enjoyed good times with family and friends. He loved to cook; but more than cooking, HE LOVED TO EAT. When Jason would show up to family gatherings, everyone knew he would do a whirlwind on the kitchen. He loved to eat just about anything, but one of his favorite meals to eat was gumbo. When he ate gumbo, he would try to eat the whole pot in one serving. Jason also loved watching and debating sports. He was a loyal Houston fan and loved all things Oilers, Texans, Rockets, and Astros. Some may think Jason’s life ended too soon but for Jason, life has just begun. Jason is preceded in death by his Mother Jeanette Deloris Anderson; Father Leslie Elbert Johnson; Grandmothers Dorothy Marie Bradley and Wilma Johnson; Grandfather Leslie Elwin Johnson; Aunt Gretchen Smith; and a lifelong best friend, Michael Johnson Jason will be truly missed by his brother and first friend Eddie Anderson, Jr, his sister Victoria (John) Evans, and brother Allen Anderson. His nieces and nephews Jordan Evans, Chelsie Anderson, Lauren Evans, Mariah Evans, Justin Evans, and Jayden Evans; Grandfather Roy L. Bradley; Aunties Jonell Green, Melinda Miller, Omega Johnson, Zeola (Donsteen) Jones, Cheryl Johnson, Gwendolyn James; Uncles Donald Bradley, Reginald Johnson, Clifford (Joice) Johnson, Ivory (Pamela) Johnson, Percy Johnson. Stepfather Eddie Anderson. Sr.; His Lifelong Friends and Legacy Brothers Al Steadham, Jr., Eric DeSant, Eric Rivera, and Tim Gay.
